Well - the service! Probably a few too many floor staffs posters on a Friday night but it did mean super attentive. Lots to like about this new Southern Italian wine bar BUT loses a star for slight awkwardness. Staff were lovely and helpful, and suggested some great wine for our table. I recommend one meat dish and one side per person, add incredible Bread In Common bread and mozzarella for starters too if you're really hungry. This means it can get a little costly, so watch out for that when ordering. The main meat dishes are small-ish and don't come with sides, so $20-30 for the meat dish, then you have to order potatoes or mushrooms, greens on top of that to go along with the meat. I also tried some of my friend's mozzarella which had a wonderful punchy flavour to it. It was pleasing to see such a wide array of mushrooms on one plate too. All the dishes were great, particularly the steak. I shared the sword fish, steak, mushrooms and thrice cooked potatoes with friends. IIt's so refreshing to see an Italian restaurant that doesn't just served pizza, pasta and a few meaty classics. The menu had something to please everyone, cured meat, fish, steak, cheese, unique vegetable dishes and more. ![]() There are a few booths for groups of four or more, so make sure you book ahead if you come with a group. It's a Southern Italian wine bar, with mostly bar seating. I had a lovely dinner with a group of friends at No Mafia over the Christmas break. No Mafia is sleek, charming and down to Earth an ideal spot for an intimate catch-up, progressive dinner stop and date night. I need to come back for the noccello limonade that Kristy K calls the best cocktail she has ever had! No Mafia also make their own limoncello and have an impressive wine and aperitif list. The staff are swift and friendly, making themselves available when needed and happy to help with choosing the right amount of plates to share. The Sicilian green olives are a great dish to pick on while you wait for the food, which arrives quickly. The roasted tomatoes with chickpeas dish was a surprise hit - I don't know how, but the tomatoes had an unbelievable smokey flavour that made me very nostalgic for my European travels. Food gods were on my side as the fateful news was delivered - GF gnocchi was in the house! The gnocchi is made with potato flour and rice flour, and served with sundried tomato pesto and rocket - a superb dish with well balanced savoury flavours and fresh ingredients. ![]() At first it looked like my food dreams were about to come crashing down when the waiter does that 'ah, let me check with the chef' face as if to say 'we might not have gluten-free gnocchi'. I'd heard they did GLUTEN-FREE GNOCCHI so of course that is what I was getting. No Mafia is nailing the concept of an Italian tapas and wine bar concept, and I can see why Yelpers are loyal to this local gem. This looks like a nice little town perfect for me to resume operations.Bad ass name, bad ass menu. And maybe when I'm done I'll come back here. I was careless last time but now I know and soon he'll know. Then I'll track down that ranger and gun him down. Shouldn't matter I'll rest up find myself a new gun. The stranger reaches for his gun before remembering he lost it in the escape "That's right no gun. "He got lucky" he thinks to himself in anger "he won't be able to track me here." The stranger thinks back to how this happened replaying in his mind over and over how he narrowly escapes the sheriff with the big iron on his hip. The stranger looks ahead and sees the town "Looks like a mighty fine outpost to recuperate at" he thinks to himself staring down at a bloody wound in his side. The horse appears to be near death just looking at it you can tell this horse has been ridden hard over the last few days. On a dusty road in the dead of night near the outskirts of town approaches a tall handsome stranger on a horse.
